Installation is simple, but has its specifics
Installing a Kolomaki Quick cellar does not require concrete, is fast, technologically advanced, and manageable by a skilled DIYer. Nevertheless, it's important to follow the manual and consider your specific site conditions. -
Clay and impermeable subsoil
If your site has heavy, clay-based soil with poor drainage, we recommend installing a drainage system at the bottom of the excavation. This prevents water accumulation under the cellar and ensures its stability. -
High groundwater level
If high groundwater is present, we recommend choosing the partially buried Quick 1 cellar, which requires a depth of only 1.4 meters. Also ensure water is drained from the excavation using drainage or a pump. -
Strong sunlight exposure
If installing the cellar in a sunny area, we recommend providing shade — for example, by planting shrubs, adding a pergola, or using another method to prevent overheating. -
Difficult access to the site
If there’s no direct access for machinery, don’t worry. Quick cellars are lightweight and can be transported with a crane — over a fence or roof, for example. Just be sure to plan access in advance. -
Not much space? The cellar can go under a parking spot
If space is limited, the cellar can also be installed under a parking area. In such cases, it must be properly insulated and protected from heat in summer and frost in winter. -
